Princess Rainy

In March/April 2007 we were selected for Kansas Champions for the Children's Miracle Network.  Rainy is the 2007 kansas Champion for the Children's Miracle Network champions across America.  We got to go to Washington D.C. and meet other champions (one child from each state to represent their local Children's Miracle Network.  We also got to travel to Disney World for the 25th year celebration Of the Children's Miracle Network.  On our trip Rainy had started getting really sick.  We almost missed the tour of the White House and meeting the President.  Thankful Rainy's health was stable enough for us to take her by wheelchair to meet the President.  The following is a story from that meeting.

When we were there meeting the President I was trying to get video of the
president with Rainy but couldn't get him in the video so I said without
thinking," Mr. President could you please bend down I can't seem to get your
head in my video camera."  Oui, what a moment, he did what I said and
looking back on it I just think it was so funny I told the President what to
do and he did it.....LOL,,,, didn't mean to.
 
Also Rainy had a funny moment with him.
 
Rainy talking to the President, "so who are you?""
 
P.B "I am the President"
 
R.Cook "so what do you do?"
 
Lady standing next to us, "  He runs the world....(okay)
 
R. cook "so you God?"
 
P.B.  "No but I pray to him everyday."
 
R.Cook "so youre friends with Jesus?"
 
P.B. "yes."
 
R. Cook "great give me a hug."
 
 
Ahhh...



When we returned home in April 07 Rainy took a turn for the worse.  She slipped into a coma on April 15th and came through and emergency brain operation putting her at 15 (we recently had her 16th brain operation)
Rainy's health has went down hill this past year, and more recently the doctors have told us they
really don't know how to help her, but they would do the best they can.  You can read more
